The House - Guest Bedroom

The process of removing the old brown carpet and reclaiming the hardwood floor beneath took us over a year to complete. The first project (the master bedroom and hallway) was the worst, with the most old paint on the floor. The second project was the living room, which was a larger space with more wear on the floor but less paint to deal with. Finally, in early August 2002 we decided to rip up the last patch of carpet -- the guest bedroom. Below are a couple pictures from March 2002, followed by pictures of the process of ripping up the carpet, sanding the floor, putting Bruce's One-Step on the floor, and moving everything back in to the room. As frightening as it may be, there was less paint in this room than there was in the master bedroom. We also painted the ceiling and the baseboards along the way, too.
